Even Super Bowl champions need some quiet time â and for Patrick Mahomes, that peace comes when heâs alone behind the wheel.
But donât expect him to be blasting his famous friend Taylor Swift.
đ Mahomesâ Driving Confession
Speaking with Kansas Cityâs 96.5 The Fan, the Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback admitted that his car isnât filled with curated playlists or celebrity soundtracks.
âIt kinda depends on the mood Iâm in,â he said.
âSometimes I just hit shuffle. I donât have a lot of playlists â except for game day.â
Mahomes revealed he flips between old hits, new bangers, and the occasional podcast â anything that keeps his mind relaxed before he switches back into quarterback mode.
đ§Â No Taylor on the Stereo â Just Laughter and âI Spyâ
While fans might imagine him listening to Taylor Swiftâs âWildest Dreamsâ, Mahomes laughed off the idea of having a go-to artist.
âI just hit shuffle,â he said. âIâll listen to comedy podcasts too, just to keep it light.â
Instead of jamming to Swiftâs chart-toppers, Mahomesâ favorite soundtrack comes from his kids â Sterling (4), Bronze (2), and baby Golden (11 months).
âMy favorite is when I ride around with my kids and we play I Spy,â he shared fondly. âThose are the moments Iâll remember for the rest of my life.â
đ A Glimpse at the Man Behind the Helmet
The revelation adds another layer to Mahomesâ off-field life â a side thatâs less about pressure and playbooks, and more about peace and parenting.
He calls his solo car rides âsacred,â admitting he sometimes hates answering calls during them.
âThose drives are my time to decompress,â he said. âItâs not about the music â itâs about clearing my head.â
So while Travis Kelceâs fiancĂ©e might rule the pop charts, itâs clear that Patrick Mahomesâ playlist belongs to family first, football second â and fame somewhere way down the road.
