‘No conditions’ – A Liverpool player is eager for a transfer and has devised a plan to achieve it.

Recently, we reported on claims from Spain indicating that Luis Díaz’s agent reached out to Barcelona to inform them that the Liverpool forward remains available, following their failure to secure Athletic’s Nico Williams.

Díaz is featured on the front page of today’s Mundo Deportivo, which mentions that he will request Liverpool to approve a transfer this summer.

Barcelona is ‘100% focused’ on the Liverpool player, who has once again become their primary target for the attack. Mundo adds that they have escalated discussions with the 28-year-old’s agent in recent days.

In contrast to Williams’ agent, the newspaper notes that the Colombia international’s representative is not seeking written guarantees from Barca regarding the registration of his client. The headline on the front page boldly states ‘no conditions’.

Díaz, for his part, remains optimistic that the Catalan club will be able to register him should they manage to acquire his services.

Mundo reports: ‘In this atmosphere of mutual trust, advancements have been made in recent days, so Barca dismiss any unexpected developments like those involving the younger Williams and his agent. Furthermore, Barca is aware that Díaz intends to request a transfer from Liverpool.’

Barca does not anticipate the former FC Porto player to make an immediate request, as Liverpool is currently facing a challenging period.

When the appropriate moment arrives, the South American’s strategy is to ‘forcefully demand a sale’ to realize his aspiration of joining Barca.

His agent believes that Arne Slot’s team needs to generate funds after their investments in Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez. Díaz’s representative feels this situation provides an advantage in facilitating his exit from Anfield.

Whether this is indeed the case or if the agent’s confidence is unfounded remains to be seen.

The Monday edition of Sport indicates that the Premier League champions are currently unwilling to negotiate. If they do, Liverpool will not permit the South American to depart for less than €70-80m.
