A couple of members of the U.S. Ryder Cup team are heading South of the Border to headline the field of the 2025 World Wide Technology Championship at Diamante’s El Cardonal Course in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Reigning U.S. Open champion J.J. Spaun and two-time PGA Tour winner this season Ben Griffin also are the top-ranked players in one of the weaker fields of the FedEx Cup Fall.
European Ryder Cup Captain Luke Donald and 2023 U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark also are in the field. Promising young pros Luke Clanton, David Ford and Gordon Sargent, who all have cards for next season through PGA Tour U, join the field along with FedEx Cup Fall winners Michael Brennan and Steven Fisk, Max Greyserman (No. 51), who was second in Japan at the Baycurrent Classic and looking to be a lock to get into the first two signature events of 2026, and former WWT champions such as Matt Kuchar (121) and Erik van Rooyen (81).
With three FedEx Cup Fall events remaining, it’s getting late in the game to solidify status for next season on the Tour for players such as popular Netflix “Full Swing” star Joel Dahmen (109), Harry Higgs (126) and Adam Hadwin (147).
