Princess Anne’s savage birthday gift for brother King Charles
The Princess Royal once brought her brother King Charles a very unexpected gift.
King Charles is celebrating his 77th birthday today, and will no doubt be sent many well wishes and presents to mark his big day. While it is not known how the monarch plans to celebrate, it is believed he will spend some time with his nearest and dearest, including his wife Queen Camilla.
It is also likely he will either spend time with, or at least receive warm wishes from, his other royal relatives too. This includes his sister Princess Anne, who shares a close bond with the King.

While it is not known what the monarch will be gifted for his big day, The Princess Royal did once famously give her brother a very amusing gift.
This was in fact not for a birthday, but for a Christmas instead, when members of the Royal Family are known to buy cheap gag presents.
This is a tradition Anne, 75, has always excelled at, having once gifted Charles a white leather toilet seat.
It is believed the toilet seat was given to the King when he was The Prince of Wales, and was a joke about his royal destiny.
Dickie Arbiter, a former royal press secretary, once explained the joke behind the gift on a documentary.

He said: “What is it we used to call the loo? We would call it the throne. You go and sit on the throne.
“So buying a leather-bound loo seat was really Princess Anne’s way of saying, ‘Here you are, you’ve got your own personal throne’.”
It is not known what kind of presents the King will receive today, however it is believed birthday presents for the royals are more sentimental than the gifts exchanged around the Christmas tree.
