PHILADELPHIA, PA – October 15, 2025 — Jalen Hurts has always preached about leadership, resilience, and giving back. This week, he turned those words into action. Just ahead of Veterans Day
, the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback donated eight custom-built smart homes to severely wounded U.S. veterans, continuing his growing reputation as one of the NFL’s most socially conscious stars.
The homes — valued between
$500,000 and $700,000 each — are part of Hurts’ ongoing partnership with the Generosity Sports Foundation, providing free, fully adaptive housing for veterans who suffered life-altering injuries during deployments in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other post-9/11 operations.
Each home is designed with adaptive technology, allowing veterans to control lights, doors, and essential devices through voice or mobile commands. The homes feature barrier-free design with widened doorways, flat flooring, and lowered kitchens and bathrooms for wheelchair accessibility. Many are powered by
solar energy and built from sustainable materials to ensure long-term comfort and independence.

Hurts, who personally visited two of the new homes in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, spoke from the heart at the dedication ceremony.
“These men and women showed courage most of us can’t imagine,” Hurts said. “They fought for our freedom — so giving them back a piece of their own is the least we can do. Every home we build is a thank-you, written in bricks and love.”
Since 2022, Hurts’ initiative has helped fund over 100 smart homes nationwide, with several more currently under construction across the East Coast. Beyond housing, his program also provides mobility vehicles and financial grants
for veterans rebuilding their lives after combat injuries.
Hurts’ act of generosity comes during a season where his leadership continues to shine through adversity. Through six games in 2025, he’s posted a
100.2 passer rating, completing 68% of his passes for 1,172 yards, 8 touchdowns, and just 1 interception.
Despite back-to-back losses to the Broncos and Giants, Hurts has remained composed and accountable — his calm under pressure has been one of the few constants for a Philadelphia team battling injuries and inconsistencies in its offensive rhythm.
Analysts credit his efficiency and decision-making, even as the deep passing game has struggled. While the offense has been limited by protection breakdowns and WR timing issues, Hurts’ steady presence and leadership continue to anchor the locker room.
Head coach Nick Sirianni praised his quarterback’s maturity on and off the field:
“What Jalen does away from football is who he really is — a man of discipline, faith, and heart. Building homes for veterans says more about his character than any stat ever could.”
As Philadelphia prepares to honor its veterans this November, Hurts’ contribution serves as a reminder that greatness isn’t just measured in touchdowns or passer ratings — it’s measured in lives changed.
Once again, Jalen Hurts proves that his legacy in Philly isn’t just about winning games — it’s about building hope where it matters most.
