Green Bay, WI – November 1, 2025
Former President Barack Obama has publicly thanked Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love after the young star joined his national campaign to fight hunger across the United States.
Just hours after Obama’s viral post on X, revealing that “more than 47 million Americans — including one in five children — don’t have reliable access to nutritious food,” Love stepped up with a
$75,000 donation to Feeding Wisconsin, a statewide network that supports struggling families across the region.
Through eight games this season, Love has been in elite form — completing 70.9% of his passes for 1,798 yards, 13 touchdowns
, and only 2 interceptions while leading the Packers (5–1–1) back into NFC contention. He’ll look to extend that momentum this Sunday as Green Bay hosts the Carolina Panthers (4–4) at Lambeau Field in a key Week 9 matchup.
Speaking about his donation, Love said:
“I’ve seen what this community means to people here in Wisconsin. If I can use my voice to make sure fewer kids go to bed hungry, then that’s the most important win I could ever have.”
Obama reposted the story with his own message of gratitude:
“Jordan Love reminds us that leadership isn’t just about performance — it’s about purpose. Proud to see another young athlete stepping up for America’s families.”
According to a White House source, Obama also sent Love a personal handwritten letter accompanied by a framed presidential photo, thanking him for “showing compassion that matches his competitive spirit.”
For Packers fans, this moment means more than football — Jordan Love isn’t just winning games, he’s winning hearts in Green Bay. 💚💛
