GOLF is witnessing one of its best comeback stories in history.

After retiring from golf in 2021, Ben Griffin is back on top of the PGA Tour.

Griffin gave up on his golf dream in 2021, opting for a career as a loan officer.

However, after spending time in the job, he realized he needed to fight for his golf dream again.

Griffin worked his way through the Korn Ferry Tour and earned his tour card in 2023.

Now, Griffin is putting together amazing tournament weekends every month.

In just the last two weeks, Griffin finished eighth in the PGA Championship and won the Charles Schwab Challenge.

“My parents did so much for me growing up,” Griffin said after his win.

“I know they sacrificed a lot for me, and I credit a lot of my success down the stretch today to my short game.

” It kept me in it, and that’s what I did as a kid. That’s what helped my short game be so good down the stretch today.”

That stretch of performances netted him $2.1 million in just a two week span.

Fans were inspired by Griffin’s story, and shared their thoughts on social media.

“20 years worth of loan officer pay in 2 weeks,” one fan said.

“Persistence pays off,” another fan said.

“Not bad for a loan officer,” a third fan said.

“Taking a break doesn’t mean giving up forever,” a fourth fan said.

“Definitely better pay than a loan officer for 2 weeks,” a fifth fan said.

Ever since turning pro in 2023, Griffin has made over $11 million from playing on the tour.

He currently sits in fifth place for the FedEx Cup Championship.

If he remains in that position at the end of the season, Griffin will earn another $5 million.
