Daly didn’t reveal what caused the health-related issue to his hand and why it required surgery. But he has stayed active on Instagram during his recovery in the hospital, posting several more stories that included a reference to the time where former NFL head coach Jon Gruden served as his caddy.

Fans came together to pray for the golf icon:

“Goodness, hope JD makes a swift recovery!,” one fan wrote.

“Get well Big John 💪,” wrote one fan.

“Get well soon! wrote another.

The 58-year-old has battled several health issues throughout his life, including an addiction to alcohol. Daly has sought rehab treatment for the addiction and has relapsed multiple times.
