Tiger Woods has responded to people criticising his relationship with Vanessa Trump with a sweary four-word response. The golf iconâs romance with Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr became public knowledge in March.
When announcing the new chapter in his life on social media, Woods asked for privacy for himself, Trump and those around them. Some within Woodsâ inner circle have voiced worries about the impact of being linked to a figure formerly close to the US president.
However, Woods has made his feelings about criticism of his choice of girlfriend, saying, âF*** what people think,â according to a source via the Daily Mail.
The insider said that Woods is apolitical and is unconcerned with the general publicâs perception of the relationship. The insider continued: âHe didnât care one bit. You canât really tell Tiger to do something he doesnât want to do.
âAnd he felt like this was an important enough relationship to go public with. If someone has a problem, thatâs on them, not him. He still doesnât think of it as being anything political â sheâs his girlfriend who happens to have the Trump last name.â
Since going public with his relationship with Trump, Woods has kept a relatively low profile, sparingly sharing details of his private life. His Instagram announcement on March 23 was notably concise.
It read: âLove is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.â His two children appear to be happy with the new relationship, with reports claiming they have taken a liking to Trump. Meanwhile, President Trump made his thoughts clear on a friend dating his former daughter-in-law.
Speaking with reporters as he was signing executive orders, Trump said: âI love Tiger and I love Vanessa. Tiger actually called me a few months ago. I have a very special relationship with Tiger. Heâs a fanatic guy. I said, âTiger thatâs good. Iâm very happy for bothâ.â

He said: âThey [Donald Jr. and Vanessa] had a great relationship.
âI happen to think the relationship with my son was hurt very badly with the witch hunt. âRussia, Russia, Russiaâ. All the c*** they put Don through.
âVanessa and Don have a great relationship. Five great children. They broke up quite a while ago, which to me was very sad.â
