ANTHONY Joshua has broken his silence after the fatal crash that claimed the lives of two of his closest friends.

The former heavyweight champion took to social media to share some poignant pictures as his pals’ funerals are due to take place.

Joshua shared two pictures, which appear to show himself with the family of his tragic friends, on Instagram.

The images were captioned: “My brothers keeper.”

It comes after The Sun revealed that the boxing superstar had flown back to the UK from Nigeria following the horror crash that left him hospitalised and killed his two pals.

The British heavyweight boxer landed at London Stansted Airport in a private jet on Friday night and was ferried to his mansion where he’ll continue his recuperation.

Joshua’s strength coach Sina Ghami and his personal trainer Latif ‘Latz’ Ayodele, both 36, died after the 4×4 they were travelling in with the two-time World Champ, ploughed into a stationary truck near Lagos on Monday.

Sun Online learned the funerals of Joshua’s pals will be held today at a mosque in London.

Family and friends have been invited to a “janaza prayer service” – an Islamic prayer – and funeral of Sina and Latif in the morning.

Joshua is undecided as to whether he will attend the funeral, through fear his presence could cause a “circus”, the Sun understands.

A source said: “Anthony wants to go to the funeral but he hasn’t decided yet, he’s mindful that his presence could cause a circus and overshadow the funeral for the family of his two friends.”

Joshua, 36, had to be pulled from the mangled wreckage, but fortunately only sustained minor injuries in the crash.

It emerged on Friday that Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, Joshua’s 46-year-old driver, was charged after appearing at the Sagamu High Court in Ogun state.

He was charged on four counts including dangerous driving causing death, reckless and negligent driving, driving without care and attention and driving without a valid driving licence.

It also emerged Joshua had cheated death moments before the fatal crash after Adeniyi asked him to swap seats from the front to the back of the SUV.

Adeniyi denied all charges against him and claimed the brakes on the car failed.

The chauffeur, who has worked for Joshua’s camp for more than three years, was granted bail.

Adeniyi’s family, including his wife, were outside court yesterday.

His son Ifeoluwa Adeniyi, 19, said the family is “very upset” and were “sorry” for the deaths of two people.

He said his dad had been driving Joshua to see his family in Sagamu when the crash happened.
