Tiger Woods’ son, Charlie, and Kai Trump Buried at Junior Golf Tournament

Charlie Woods and Kai Trump had a first round to forget at the super-exclusive Junior Invitational at Sage Valley, one of the most prestigious junior events in the world. Both Woods and Trump shot well over par and will have to sweat it out to get off the bottom of the leaderboard.

According to the Palm Beach Post, the son of the legendary Tiger Woods carded a 6-over 78 during the first round, which was played on Wednesday. Charlie’s performance included two birdies, six bogeys and a double bogey, putting him in a tie for 32nd place after the first 18 holes, in a 36-person field.

President Donald Trump’s granddaughter fared much worse.

Her score was 17-over 89 for the first round, with one birdie, seven bogeys, two double bogeys, one triple bogey and one quadruple bogey. That placed her dead last on the leaderboard.

The two have become more closely associated after news surfaced that Tiger Woods and Don Jr.’s ex, Vanessa Trump, are reportedly dating.

Meanwhile, organizers have not released the full leaderboard for the tournament. However, it has been reported that the boys’ competition is led by Kiwi Joshua Bai at 5-under, while Canada’s Aphrodite Deng and Thailand’s Pimpisa Rubrong lead the girls at 2-under.

The field for the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley includes 36 boys and 24 girls. Several world junior stars stand out, including defending champions Asterisk Talley and Giovanni Daniele Binaghi.

Other top players include Luke Colton, Louis Klein, Miles Russell, Michael Riebe, Tyler Watts and Logan Reilly for the boys and Gianna Clemente, Elizabeth Rudisill, Scarlett Schremmer and Avery McCrery for the girls.

Charlie Woods, 16, has yet to make a splash in golf, although he has had more than his fair share of glory. He was part of the Benjamin School team that won the state championship in 2023 and won the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s major championship that same year.

He has also teamed up with his father to finish second twice at the PNC Championship, most recently in 2024.

Charlie is currently ranked 11th among junior players in the state of Florida, according to the Palm Beach Post.

In the case of Kai Trump, who also plays for the Benjamin School and has committed to play collegiate golf for the University of Miami next season, she is currently ranked 151st in the state.
