Even Super Bowl champions arenât safe from Disney drama. đ
Former Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce opened up about what he called a âfull-blown fightâ with his 6-year-old daughter, Wyatt, during their recent family trip to Walt Disney World â and the hilarious meltdown that nearly derailed the day.
âRuins about 30 minutes of our entire day because she wanted a whole waffle,â Jason laughed on his New Heights podcast with brother Travis Kelce. âThere were four waffles and fifteen people. I gave her a piece, and she lost it. Iâm like, âNope. Iâm putting my foot down. Not raising some spoiled little fââ rotten child!ââ
đ§Â The Great Waffle War
Jason recalled the standoff in vivid detail â the look on Wyattâs face, the tears, and the stubborn refusal to share.
Even his wife Kylie Kelce tried to intervene.
âKylieâs like, âJust give her the waffle!â But I stood my ground,â he said proudly. âIâm not raising spoiled kids. Sheâs sharing!â
What followed was, in Jasonâs words, a âfull meltdownâ â the kind of public chaos every parent knows too well.
â ïžÂ Enter: Captain Jack Sparrow â The Unexpected Hero
Just when things looked hopeless, salvation appeared in the most unexpected form:Â Jack Sparrow.
âWhoever was being Jack Sparrow that day, man, he was amazing,â Jason said. âHe walks up, starts doing the pirate thing, and somehow Wyattâs justâŠÂ laughing. Totally saved the day.â
From that moment on, the trip turned around â especially when Wyatt learned there was a sweet reward waiting nearby.
âShe finds out weâre getting beignets from Princess Tianaâs place and goes, âBut weâre gonna share the beignets, right?ââ Jason joked. âAnd Iâm like, âYup. Weâre back. Weâre fââ back.ââ đ©âš
đąÂ Dad vs. Teacups: Round Two
But the day wasnât done testing his patience.
Jason â always the fun dad â decided to take his daughters on the classic teacups ride, swearing it wouldnât spin âtoo much.â
âI told them it was chill. Then I start spinning it a little, and Wyatt starts losing her fââ mind,â Jason said, laughing. âI tried holding it still â still crying. But by the end? She actually liked it!â
đ Parenting, Pirates, and Princesses
Despite the chaos, Jason says the trip was unforgettable â especially watching his girls meet their favorite Disney characters.
âSeeing them meet Ariel and Pluto was the best,â he said. âWyatt was staring at Arielâs fin like, âWait, is that real?â You could see her brain short-circuiting.â
Kylie, ever the calm mom, kept things grounded, while Jason snuck away for a few dad moments â including eating a turkey leg during the parade with baby Finn in one arm.
âI felt like a Neanderthal,â he admitted. âTurkey leg in one hand, baby in the other, waving at Mickey. Best day ever.â đŠâ€ïž
đŒÂ The Kelce Chaos We Love
Whether heâs holding court on the podcast or wrangling four kids at the Magic Kingdom, Jason Kelce continues to prove that retirement hasnât slowed him down â itâs just given him new challenges.
And if surviving Disney World with four kids doesnât earn a dad ring, nothing will. đ
