šŸ”„ ā€œWe swore we’d never tellā€¦ā€ — The cast of Survivor 49 just spilled their most humiliating secrets on camera. From wardrobe disasters to midnight meltdowns, nothing was off-limits. But one confession left even the crew speechless.

Embarrassing things can happen on national television. Especially onĀ Survivor.

It can be something as grand as playing a fake idol you believed to be real, or something as simple as a belly flop dive into the ocean.

But as the cast ofĀ Survivor 49Ā is about to prove, embarrassing things can also happen when there are no cameras around.

As is our tradition here atĀ Entertainment Weekly, we warmed theĀ Survivor 49Ā cast up for any possible on-air humiliation by having them tell us before the season began about their most embarrassing real-life moments. (Note: We don’t think Sage needed any warming up.)

Enjoy this collection of contestant stories that are equal parts hilarious and horrifying, and then judge on who brought their A game to this exercise and delivered the absolute best of the bunch. The choice is yours!

It was the first time I drank in high school. A bunch of my friends and I found some old Canadian whiskey in my dad’s garage.

And we take that and a bunch of red solo cups to the reservoir and we just start getting f—ing hammered.

We’re like little kids that are downing in way more alcohol than we really should. None of us really had a concept of what a shot is.

Multiple people black out. We have one designated driver who is trying to take us to his parents’ place. People are not okay.

I’m not okay. I’m not blacked out, but I’m in the back corner of his mom’s minivan and I’m looking to the guy next to me who’s also out of his mind.

I’m like, ā€œDude, this is not good. I do not feel great.ā€ And he’s all like, ā€œBro, we shouldn’t have done that.ā€

We park at his parents’ place, we’re all going to get out of the car.

But before that happens, I projectile vomit all over the window, and the guy sitting next to me immediately does the same thing because I was so gross that it made him do it.

We were pulled out of the van by my friend’s parents in our vomit-soaked clothes, woke up in the morning in our underwear, and had to scrub the van. It was rough.

I worked at a job once where everyone had their own offices, and I love Mediterranean food, which is often multiple types of chickpeas, which are known to make people gassy.

And I had had a ton of hummus, falafel, and chickpea salad for lunch.

And the problem is you’re in the safety of your own office, so there’s this false sense of security. It’s like when you have AirPods in and you don’t think anybody can hear you.

I was just farting like crazy because it was my own office, and it was the same day that there was a fire drill on one of the cases I was working on, so the person who was on the team with me kept coming in and out of my office, and every time he came in I was like, ā€œF—, it’s obviously only me in here. I know it smells bad.ā€

This has happened now twice, so I’m like, ā€œI’m going to turn off the light to my office. Maybe he’ll be like, ā€˜Sophie’s working, I won’t want to bother her.ā€™ā€

And then he comes in aĀ thirdĀ time and I was like, ā€œIs there anything worse than poor Steven coming in and it’s like this dark smelly cave?ā€

I’m forever scarred, and poor Steven must’ve been like, ā€œShould she go to the hospital? Does she have a gastrointestinal issue?ā€

At my college graduation, I had finally gotten my diploma, said I was officially a rocket scientist after all those years, and we’re doing our walking ceremony, and I decided to wear these big, bright orange pants and my really good buddy wore big, bright blue pants and we were the Broncos colors.

But we weren’t walking at the same time, so it just looked like I’m a clown in big orange pants.

And I’m walking out, and, of course, you’ve been celebrating, so I’m a little tipsy and I just was so excited.

Everyone’s walking very stoically and they shake your hand and you go along and there’s all the professors, a bunch of future colleagues, and I’m walking across and I’m like, ā€œWhat’d be really funny is if I just start blowing kisses and then I do a cartwheel.ā€

And I’m doing this and I’m thinking it’s hilarious. And, of course, nobody in the audience is reacting. They’re like, ā€œWho is this clown?ā€

I look back on that moment and in my head, I thought it was so epic, and really, at the time, I think people were like, ā€œThis guy just needs to get off stage.ā€

I’m pretty sure that my professors were kind of like, ā€œI can’t believe this guy’s going to be in charge of designing spaceships.ā€

I had a very awkward moment at a kids’ birthday party. All the moms were together, and there were a few dads, and we were getting phone numbers.

We always see each other, but we never had a text group together.

And so I was going around asking all the moms for their numbers, and one of the dads comes to me and he’s like, ā€œHey, can I be on the text?ā€ And I said, ā€œOh, it’s kind of for females, but where’s his mom?

I can put her on it.ā€ And he’s like, ā€œOh, I’m a widower.ā€ I was like, ā€œOh f—! I don’t even know how to get out of this.ā€

I’m a hopeless romantic, and I had a high school crush on this girl who is one of my best friends now.

And so it was kind of like pre-planned where everyone kind of figures out that you’re going to ask this person to the formal.

And so I was supposed to ask her, and I wanted to do it in this grand way.

We’re in the middle of a test and I literally planned with my Spanish teacher to pass a note and have him read it to the entire class.

And he reads this note saying, ā€œWill you go to formal with me?ā€ I used to pun with her name.

It was really cute. And she turns bright red and she’s like, ā€œSomeone just asked me last period and I couldn’t say no.ā€ And the whole class is just silent.

It is literally so cringey, and everyone just goes back to taking their test. My teacher pulls me aside at the end of the class and said, ā€œOut of all my 20 something years of being a teacher, nothing more embarrassing has ever happened.ā€

I got rejection in front of an entire class, so I can face any rejection I get here.

Okay, this is one of 10 poop stories. But when I was in Afghanistan, I got to my room and I had to poop so bad, but the bathrooms that were closest were being worked on.

So I had to go way far, and it was happening right now. And so I was looking around my room of ā€œWhat am I going to s— in?ā€

I had this empty protein jug, huge five pounder, and I sat on it as it was a toilet, and I s— in it.

And then I was like, ā€œOkay, I got to get this protein jug full of s— out of my room without anyone seeing it.ā€

So first I piled trash on top of the deed and then sealed it up.

Then I ripped off the label so that no one could trace it back to me like, ā€œOh, I saw Sage with vanilla protein powder.ā€

The problem with ripping off the label is now the jug is very sticky.

So I had this plan, I was going to book it for the door that was closest to me that had a trash can on the outside, so I was like, ā€œOkay, this is perfect.

I’m just going to run for it, dump the jug, run back to my room. No one’s going to see me.ā€

So I swing open the door, I go to throw it away, and then all of my friends are there. They’re like, ā€œHey Sage!ā€

I go to try to release the jug. It will not go off with my hands because of the sticky label.

And so then I drop the jug. So now I’ve been spotted with the jug and my biggest fear is what if someone goes to the trash and is like, ā€œHey, this is a nice jug.

I could use this for something.ā€ And it’s just a jug full of poop.

Many moons ago, I used to work for a company in Australia called the Sydney Hotshots.

It’s basically Chippendales and a male review show. I’m dancing in front of thousands of women every single night.

I wouldn’t say it’s stripping because we don’t get naked, but it’s a three-and-a-half hour choreographed stage show.

So we have to bring up women under the stage and do a little lap dance or acrobatics or whatever the case may be.

I remember we got in trouble one day and they said ā€œYou’ve got to bring a diverse selection of girls. You can’t just bring up the cute blonde ones all the time.ā€

So I brought up a heavier set woman and for my finale, I sit her in a chair and I’m only in my underwear at the moment, and I do a headstand on top of her.

She’s in the chair and then I go upside down on top of her legs and I’m vertically upside down on top of her.

There are about 2,400 girls at this show, and I went up on my headstand and then all four legs on the chair completely snapped and both me and this lady went tumbling off stage.

It was very embarrassing for her and very embarrassing for me, but I made it right and I got her and all of her friends backstage tickets after to come meet the guys.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so red in the face.

I was in fourth grade, and I walked up to my teacher to hand her something in and I called her mommy.

Everyone laughed at me. And when you’re nine years old, that’s the most embarrassing thing — you just called your teacher your mom.

And I said,Ā mommyĀ and not mom. That was the worst. I did not tell my actual mom. She still does not know to this day.

Nate Moore

It’s my freshman year at UCLA. I’ve never lived outside of my parents’ purview. I’ve never been really in a big city like that on my own.

There were a lot of protests at the time because Proposition 209 was trying to be passed, which would roll back affirmative action.

So one day I’m at the library on campus and I’m a little bored and I see there’s a protest gathering and I’d rather be out there than be in here.

So I pack my bags, I get into this long line of protesters, and I end up next to a rainbow flag.

And in my mind, because I’m a kid who also grew up in the ’80s, I’m thinking ā€œRainbow Coalition! Sure, this is where I belong.ā€

So I’m walking with the rainbow flag and all the people with the rainbow flags. And then I start to learn the chants.

And I have a very loud voice, so at some point somebody gives me a flag and then I start leading the chants and I’m waving this rainbow flag.

We end up in Westwood, we’re next to the federal building. I’m waving this flag, I’m cheering, ā€œPower to the people!ā€ and all that good stuff.

And then my friends come and they’re like, ā€œWhat are you doing?ā€ I’m like, ā€œWe’re protesting!ā€ ā€œYeah, but why are you with the gay and lesbian section?ā€ I’m like, ā€œExcuse me, what now?

I thought this was the Rainbow Coalition.ā€ They’re like, ā€œNo, not at all.ā€ Of course, nothing wrong with that. I literally just had no idea. Did not know at all.

I was a dancer growing up, and my first ever solo, I really wanted to prove to the teachers that I was really good.

So I wanted to do the solo, which was terrifying. I was 15 and just also super anxious and insecure.

I go out and do the solo, I’m like 45 seconds in, I completely forget the solo. I run off stage. It wasn’t a little mess up, it was a complete freeze run off the stage.

I was alone in a hotel room in Anchorage, Ala., and I don’t know why, but I had a heart-shaped jacuzzi in the room.

I picked up a six pack of beer, and I was sitting in the jacuzzi naked drinking beer, and I got a little buzzed.

I went to bed in the middle of the night, and I needed to take a leak so I got up and went to the bathroom.

My eyes were trying to adjust to the light, and I was squinting. I look and I heard the door close behind me, and then I realized there’s no toilet.

I had walked into the hallway butt naked. I turned around and grabbed the knob, and I’d locked myself out of my room.

I kicked the door and yelled the F word really loud and the door opened down the hall and some woman came out and started screaming at me in Korean.

And then all the other doors started opening and all these heads were sticking out in the hall.

I was standing there naked trying to cover myself with my hands until the manager came around from the front desk and he said, ā€œSir, you can’t be walking around like that.ā€

He brought me a towel and let me back into my room. I went back into my room, and I sat there for a minute thinking, ā€œDid that just happen?ā€

I gathered all my s— and I just left and went to Denny’s and drank coffee. I didn’t even check out, I just left.

My most embarrassing story was when I was probably around nine and with my brother. We were walking down the street after we had gone swimming, so I was wearing my bathing suit and I farted, which I thought was a fart, but it was actually diarrhea, so I had to walk down the street with diarrhea coming down my leg.

I had to walk a block and my brother was so disgusted. I actually think he was gagging because he has the weakest stomach and it was dripping down my leg. I think I finally used grass or whatever.

I was a freshman in college in our main building. It’s at the very top of our campus with 30 stairs leading up to it.

And I was so hungover one day, I started going down the stairs, I’m holding my little laminated binder, and I trip and I fall.

So I slide all the way down those 30 stairs. But what really made it embarrassing was there was this guy who I was crushing on who I had had class with, and he was right there, obviously.

He saw everything. I was so mortified. I don’t think I talked to him ever again after that.

Jawan Pitts

Jawan Pitts on ā€˜Survivor 49’.Robert Voets/CBS

One of the most embarrassing things that happened to me was the first time I changed my brother’s diaper.

I’m the oldest of five. I got three younger sisters, one younger brother, and my mom was out and about.

So I was home babysitting these knuckleheads, and I had the cousins over. We’re playing a game, and at this time, my brother is like one or two.

So my brother started crying and I told my cousin like, ā€œHey, I got this. This is me.

I got this. I’m basically a dad.ā€ So I go do the thing. I take out the bad diaper and insert the new diaper.

And as I’m sliding in the new diaper on, my brother starts peeing, and he just turns into a fire hydrant.

I have a bunk bed too and the top of my bunk bed was pissed on, my cousins got pissed on.

It just was chaotic. So anytime I see my cousins, they like to bring up the diaper story. Not proud of it.

I went to chiropractic school, and it was a big learning curve for me. Fast forward to when I was starting to treat patients for the very first time, and one of my very first patients is this guy that I had a massive crush on.

He comes in to see me and he lays on his back and I’m working on his neck and I’m kind of standing over him to go do an adjustment on his neck.

He says something, and I start laughing and he’s laughing. And I watch in slow motion in my mind as a giant thing of drool comes out of my mouth into his mouth while he’s laughing.

I drooled in his mouth on the very first time I ever treated him, mortified. We ended up dating for four years.

I host my own YouTube channel where I have a lot of mic’d up moments. I’ll play in men’s league basketball games, and I’ll do a little smack talk and kind of get everybody riled up.

Actually, I have it posted, I should probably take it down now that I’m onĀ Survivor,Ā but there’s a clip of me telling this guy that he sucks at basketball.

And in the next clip, my girlfriend’s recording it, he proceeds to drive down the lane, go up for a layup, hits the and one, I fall, and then he comes into my mic, screams ā€œAnd one B-word!ā€ Obviously, it’s embarrassing, but it was good content so I ended up posting it.

When I was in the eighth grade, right before I had moved to Ohio, I was on my eighth-grade school bus and I had to use the bathroom so bad that I peed my pants.

I was sitting in the back of the bus, and on a school bus there are ridges, so the pee rolled up to the front of the bus into the bus driver’s feet.

So she pulled over and was like, ā€œWhat happened?ā€ And I had to be like, ā€œI pissed myself.ā€
